I'm trying to combat some of my financial burden by having an alternate electric source. I've heard you can create "near perpetual-motion" with magnets, but I'm not sure as to how it all works. Information needed: 1: Assembly 2: Energy storage 3: Resistance (preventing anything from blowing up when I plug it in)
Best Answer There is no way that you can produce your own electricity for less than what you are buying it for from your power company. If there was a less expensive way to produce the electricity, your power company would be using it, believe me.

If you were to hook an electric motor and an electric generator together and powered the motor from an external source, what would the output of the generator be? Obviously it would not be the same or it would be a perpetual motion machine, but what would the approximate ratio be? Thanks
